IBRinfo.org
Aeronet has built four web sites for our organization, and designed several interactive features like calculators, maps, all with a system for us to easily update content on our own.
We shopped around a lot for a web development company, and chose Aeronet because they do so many things well - design, content management, strategic planning, and support. Five years and four web sites later, they have always been able to meet our needs."

background
IBRinfo was created by the nonprofit, nonpartisan Project on Student Debt to help student loan borrowers learn about two new federal programs: Income-Based Repayment (IBR) and Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
challenge
When staff from the Project On Student Debt first approached us about this project, they needed us to get a site designed and produced within just a few weeks. This site needed to present an image of integrity and simplicity in order to visually communicate the nature of the unbiased sources of information included here. The site also needed to include a simple online calculator to allow users to quickly find out if the new "Income Based Repayment" or IBR would be an option for them.
our solution
Our design solution includes an icon-based logo design placed on a light-colored page layout. The use of the circled "i" in the logo implies a sense of the non-biased information resource that this site is providing. When the site was first launched, it included only a few pages, a simple calculator and an e-mail subscription system.
results
This site has attracted enormous attention from young adults interested in any possibilities for making their student loan payments more manageable. E-mail subscriptions have been very high, as has attention from the media. Since the intial launch of this site, we have developed a much more detailed online calculator that allows users to include or exclude income and debt payments of their spouse or domestic partner.
