veterans for peace

background

Veterans For Peace is a national organization founded in 1985. It is structured around a national office in Saint Louis, MO and comprised of members across the country organized in chapters or as at-large members. VFP has an annual convention each year attended by members, families and supporters from across the nation. The organization includes men and women veterans of all eras and duty stations including from the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), World War II, the Korean, Vietnam, Gulf and current Iraq wars as well as other conflicts.

challenge

When we first met with VFP, we found that their website was being managed using FrontPage.  Given their very rapid growth as a result of the Iraq War, the content on their site had ballooned out of control.  Aeronet was asked to create a new website design and structure.  We also needed to implement a web-based, database-driven content management system (CMS) to enable VFP staff to easily manage the content of their website.

our solution

The new site design represents the spirit of this organization while simultaneously organizing the originally scattered content into a system that is easy to navigate.  A highly functional website search system enabels viewers to easily find any content within the site, whether HTML pages, PDF files, Word files or other content types.

results

Veterans for Peace now uses this site to better advocate for their cause.  Their membership and donations continue to increase every month!
