bishop-wisecarver corporation
background
Bishop-Wisecarver parts and systems are used in such high-technology applications as MRI machines, consumer electronics, high-speed printing machines, automotive manufacturing systems and many more.
challenge
Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation (BWC) came to Aeronet with an antiquated site that had frequent technical and user interface problems. The site was very difficult to navigate and had become cluttered with disorganized content and messaging. BWC also wanted to upgrade the site to include e-commerce and tie the web system into their new internal inventory management system.
our solution
Aeronet developed a new look and feel inspired by imagery from the engineering and computer-aided design world. The new site design is easy to use, with an innovative, yet technical look and layout. The home page includes a streamlined use of Flash to illustrate the flawlessly smooth motion of Bishop-Wisecarver’s products and systems. Also highlighted in the home page are links to a blog published by the company’s founder, links to trade shows and events, and an online store. The site information will be managed within a database-driven content management system and will be hosted on one of Aeronet’s shared web servers.
results
BWC.com has provided a new and much more professional online presence for Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation. The site successfully conveys BWC’s pioneering stature in the industry while also extending a friendly hand to users through the site’s blog. Users are now able to easily search the company’s products, place orders online and download important technical specifications and catalogs. BWC staff are able to easily maintain their own content using a customized CMS. The product database in the website was configured to synchronize with BWC’s internal inventory system automatically. The new website has elevated BWC to the same stature in the online world that they have occupied for decades off-line.
