case study:
asset policy institute of california
background
APIC came to Aeronet with a vision for an entirely new website. The site needed to educate and inform users as well as encourage them to write letters to legislators regarding asset-building opportunities.
challenge
Based on APIC’s vision and mission, we needed to generate a unique and friendly website design, create a strategy for the site, and then get everything in place in a relatively tight timeline.
our solution
Based on interviews and research into their users, we created a detailed flowchart and proposed numerous features designed to encourage visitors to return to the site often. The site design strongly promotes two graphical elements essential to APIC’s marketing efforts – their organization logo and an interesting jigsaw graphic illustrating APIC’s approach to asset-building advocacy.
results
The new website includes a quick poll system on the home page, an action alert system, website registration, an automated news listing system that collects and posts links to articles using RSS techniques and much more. This site has allowed APIC to increase their base of users and their influence among legislators working on asset building at the state level.
